This SG wiring harness is wired in Gibson's 50s style - used in the golden era of guitars. It works by allowing you to roll off the volume, but still being able to retain the same tone. Unlike modern wiring, in which, when you roll off the volume it often gets muddy and the 'highs' are lost. This wiring solves that problem.
The best components, are used:
- 4 CTS custom 'True Vintage Taper' (TVT) split-shaft 500k pots
- K40Y-9 NOS capacitors - the same capacitor Luxe uses in their reproduction Bumblebees.
- Switchcraft right-angled switch
- Switchcraft 1/4" mono jack
- Wired with vintage style braided wire
There is a choice of capacitor values:
- Option 1: 0.022uF in the bridge and 0.022uF in the neck
- Option 2: 0.022uF in the bridge and 0.015uF in the neck
- Option 3: 0.022uF in the bridge and 0.010uF in the neck
- Option 4: 0.015uF in the bridge and 0.015uF in the neck
- Option 5: 0.015uF in the bridge and 0.010uF in the neck
- Option 6: 0.010uF in the bridge and 0.010uF in the neck
